Design, Experiences, Strategies. Between 2017 and 2022, the joint Exalt Design Lab focused on revealing and deploying the value of design for organizations and their eosystems.
Created by Strate in 2017, Exalt Design Lab - Design, Experiences, Strategies is the first joint laboratory that brings together industrial and academic partners to work on the integration of design within organizations and the creation of value in their ecosystems.
The systemic approach to design recognizes the complexity, the invisible architectures and the interrelationships that exist between each element of a whole. It brings together analytical and sensitive intelligence to propose meaningful narratives and experiences. Thinking about design from the perspective of experience means asserting the holistic dimension of experience, and bringing all its dimensions into the innovation and design processes.
Organizations thus give themselves the means to recognize and take care of their public, collaborators, partners... and to go beyond the pressing injunctions to innovate that they are subjected to. Design research, flexible and iterative, thus helps to question the meaning (significance and direction) of any project, to orient oneself in the uncertain in a strategic and reflexive way.

Since 2017, Strate Research has developed a unique "common laboratory" model that engages academic partners, organizations and institutions in a co-construction and project research approach around company theses (CIFRE theses). The duration of a laboratory is 4 years, the time needed to host theses for 3 years and to build a learning community around the issues and themes shared by the partners.
Exalt is Strate's first joint laboratory. It has 3 main missions:
Based on the keywords Design, Experiences, Strategies, the activities of the joint laboratory have been deployed along six research axes:
The five industrial partners have formed the field of the multidisciplinary CIFRE action research theses:
