Visiter Strate, école de design

The discovery afternoons begin with a presentation of the school and of Design in order to immerse yourself in the Strate culture. All the information on the admission procedure, the courses offered at the school, its values, its relations with its academic partners and companies will be shared with you, as well as the internships and international stays. You will also have a glimpse of the career of some of our alumni and the presentation of student projects that will allow you to better understand the teaching offered at Strate.

At the end of this presentation, you will be invited to follow our student ambassadors for a visit of the campus and ask them all your questions. It will also be an opportunity to take a break and connect with the atmosphere that reigns at the school.

The students will then accompany you in the realization of a design project that you will conceive together, they will give you their advice and some notions of design methodology.

Coaching sessions help candidates prepare their application to Strate. This time of exchange with a team member permits to explore together the candidate's project, his CV, his cover letter and his creative portfolio. The objective is to highlight the candidate's assets and what he/she still needs to work on until the admission interview. This informal moment is particularly enriching for first-year candidates who are not used to introducing themselves. The admissions jury notes that candidates who have completed a coaching interview are more at ease when answering their questions: "The coachees are less anxious, as they are better prepared, and they quickly understand what is expected of them." The school also offers summer workshops open to all, from the age of 15. Two 15-day sessions are offered between the end of June and mid-July, with introductory courses in artistic techniques: intensive drawing workshop and techniques of expression (documentary, analysis or outdoor drawing, illustration, perspective, live model, color).

This workshop, supervised by Strate staff, allows participants - future students of Strate or of other schools, professional training, amateurs or drawing enthusiasts - to meet around a research of their own expression, while deepening the bases of construction and formal expression.

Immersions allow candidates to put themselves in the shoes of a Strate student and discover the campus from the inside. For half a day or a full day, the visitors are integrated into a 1st or 2nd year class, they discover the courses given to the students and the different courses offered by the school.

These immersions are only offered on the Strate Lyon campus and are organized by appointment.
