Dans quel monde souhaitons-nous vivre ?
In a complex and changing world, design expertise has become a key element in addressing the transformation issues facing organizations. To give meaning to the injunction to innovate, they must become ecosystemic, plastic and learning.
How to build and inhabit the world in a desirable and sustainable way? These are design questions! The IxD Master's degree trains young graduates or professionals from all sectors to lead innovation through design. It emphasizes interdisciplinarity and the practice of projects in real conditions, to teach you to develop a global approach (material, symbolic and social aspects) and to handle the language of each of the actors of innovation.
The Innovation x Design Master's program teaches you to adopt the unique attitude of a designer, to practice and to acquire the techniques and arguments that are essential to convince and to embark on ambitious transformation projects.
Objectifs pédagogiques
- Parler le langage des différents acteurs de l’innovation et de la transformation.
- Développer une pensée systémique, pour diagnostiquer, problématiser et piloter des projets complexes.
- Adopter des méthodes, outils et postures de médiation, de gestion de projet, de design « thinking » ET « doing » pour matérialiser les idées.
- Construire son profil professionnel hybride, de manière auto-réflexive.
- Valoriser son parcours et ses projets, développer son réseau.
Public concerné
Cette formation s’adresse à des jeunes diplômés (Bac +5) ou professionnels de tous secteurs (minimum Bac +3), désireux d’entrer dans l’univers du design.
Modalités pédagogiques
Formation présentielle, à temps plein, professionnalisante : 9 mois sur le campus de Strate Paris (d’octobre à juin) suivis d’un stage de 4 à 6 mois (à réaliser entre juin et décembre).
Numerus clausus de 20 étudiants par promotion, pour assurer un accompagnement pédagogique personnalisé.

Think, do, design
At Strate School of Design, "design thinking" cannot be considered without "design doing", the practice of the designer. Beyond the methods and tools of project management and formalization of ideas, learn to adopt an attitude of permanent curiosity, sensitivity and self-reflexivity.
Interdisciplinarité
Innovative projects require innovative management. Knowing how to speak the language of the different actors in innovation is a condition for the success of innovative projects. Develop your arguments to convince and engage stakeholders, as well as your skills to create and manage multidisciplinary teams, and lead them towards desirable and sustainable progress.
Projets d'innovation et de transformation
From the scientific approach of design sciences to the practice of drawing or modeling, from industrial partnerships to the offbeat approach of the Design Experience, the Innovation x Design Master's degree gives you the opportunity to work on concrete cases, in the widest variety of contexts. You will be at the heart of today's ecosystems, bringing together companies and places of innovation, to deploy ambitious innovation and transformation projects.
Programme & taux de réussite
Acquisition of the fundamentals and the CPi program
You are immediately immersed in the heart of the matter thanks to the Master's Innovation x Design workshop: a whole week devoted to a breakthrough design project, supervised by a professional designer. This is the semester of confrontation with the knowledge and practices of the designer.
The weeks are built around major pedagogical axes:
- Artistic techniques: introduction to perspective, sketching, roughing and modeling, fundamental courses in the designer's approach at Strate school of design
- Introduction to the CK method: stemming from the research work of the Ecole de Mines, a partner of the Master's program, the CK method seeks to model creative approaches linking knowledge and concepts.
- "Innovative design" workshop at the Ecole des Mines: for one week, you will experience a work session with the students of the Ecole des Mines around this theme.
- Experience design: the concept of user experience (UX) structures the designer's approach. We will propose to design an amazing and memorable experience.
- CPI program: a joint initiative of ESSEC, Centrale Paris and Strate school of design, the CPI program (Innovative Product Design) has about a hundred students from these three schools working on briefs provided by industrial partners. You are a stakeholder, from start to finish, in this project.
- Preparation of the diploma thesis: you are supervised in the production of a thesis problematic, then in the production of this one, from which your diploma project will come out.
- Cycle of conferences and visits
The semester is built around the industrial partnerships of the 4th year Design program. You will be involved in the projects of one of the Design curriculum streams. You also develop your diploma project in parallel.
You will be responsible for the role of "project coordinator" for one of the partnership projects in one of the "Design" majors (Product, Mobility, Pack/Retail, Interaction). You are also involved, but as a designer this time, in another of these projects.
You also work on your diploma project, which is the result of your preliminary thesis work.
At the end of the semester, you defend your project in front of a jury of professionals, who award you your defense.
The semester is totally dedicated to your professional internship. In large companies, design agencies or R&D laboratories, you will be integrated into teams dedicated to innovation.
It is your responsibility to find your graduate internship, as it constitutes a potential job. It is therefore preferable that it takes place in a sector where you think you can build your professional future.
The school obviously receives many internship offers through its "Corporate Relations" department, which distributes them to all students.
The internship is evaluated by the host company, which allows the final attribution of the diploma.

Une solution au fait que la valeur de la mémoire et la façon dont elle est perçue sont altérées. Ce projet offre la possibilité de pérenniser le souvenir par son enregistrement et ainsi pouvoir le restituer à tout moment avec nos sens.
Circle
Aujourd’hui, trop d’objets restent inutilisés dans nos placards. Circle permet de les remettre en circulation en les partageant avec ses amis, sa famille, ses voisins...
EVI : Expérience de Vie Imminente
l’Expérience de Vie Imminente propose aux personnes atteintes de dépression légère ou modérée de pouvoir enfin vivre normalement, après la «petite mort» qu’est la dépression.
